INGREDIENTS
½ cup quinoa
1 cup skimmed milk
½ apple – chopped with skin on
2 tbsp. sultanas
¼ pinch ground cinnamon
1 tsp. honey
½ cup warm skimmed milk, extra to serve
DIRECTIONS
1. Put the quinoa in a sieve and rinse well under cold running water.
2. Tip the quinoa into a saucepan, then pour in the milk. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Add the apple, sultanas and cinnamon and simmer for 5–6 minutes, or until all the liquid is absorbed.
4. Serve the quinoa porridge in a small bowl. Drizzle the honey over the top and serve with the extra skimmed milk
