1: Eat your favourite foods
Treat yourself to something nice! Whether it’s finally trying out that recipe you saw on TikTok ages ago lying around in your ‘saved’ folder, or walking into your favourite brunch spot to get yourself a nutritious fix to start your day, food can bring us comfort and happiness in different ways!
2: Create a list of goals
Take the time to look inward and chart out some goals for yourself. Whether it’s making sure you make time to exercise a bit more for those workout endorphins, or making a conscious choice to eat healthier this year, anything that helps you feel like you’re taking care of yourself is always a good step.
3: Take the day off work
If you feel like life’s not been giving you a break, literally take one! You could even take a little day trip on your own and discover some new places you’ve never been before. Plan the day exactly how you want and spend some quality time with yourself outside of your usual routine!
4: Journal
Writing can be cathartic, and help you compartmentalise any emotions. So why not get yourself a pretty journal from your favourite book or gift store, and start journalling? You could start with little things you’re grateful for every day, and remind yourself of the good things in your life.
5: Plan a date with friends
It’s often easy to get wrapped up in the fact you might be feeling a certain way on your own, when the truth is that many others might feel the exact same thing! So reach out to your other single (or not so single) friends and plan a date together! After all, ‘Galentine’s Day’ has caught on in recent years for good reason – so why not start one with your friend group?
